The Stark Revolution split two games with the Canton Airmen over the weekend!
The Revolution suffered a heartbreaking defeat at the buzzer. Angelo Edwards of (Massillon) hit a three point shot to win the game for the Airmen 95-93. He finished with 35 on the night. The Revolution were led by McKinley graduate Ricky Jackson with 33 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and went 10 for 12 from the line. Jamar Wesley finished with 21 points 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Josh Yanke (Jackson) added 14 points and 7 rebounds.
On Sunday, the Revolution bounced back at home to beat the Canton Airmen 106-103. Once again it was a great battle between the cross town rival. Stark was led by Greg Howard 28 points 10 rebounds and 8-9 from the line. Greg scored 20 of his 28 in the 3rd quarter. The Revolution outscored the Airmen 36 to 31 in the quarter. Rick Jackson had 16 points 15 rebounds and Josh Yanke (Jackson) 14 points and 15 rebounds. Jamar Wesley (McKinley) put together another stellar performance again as he went for 18 points 6 rebounds and 10 assist. Angelo Edwards led the Airmen again with 39 points and Terrell Lewis (McKinley) added 19 points.
I was just glad to see the team bounce back from such a tough loss on Friday night added Coach Gracia.
We needed to take care of things in our locker room! If we want to win a championship, we all needed get on the same page.
I think we are headed in the right direction but only time will tell, said Coach G.
The Revolution record is now 5 – 3 on the season.
